On February 24th next year, watch the Queen of Pop Madonna sing her greatest hits live at the Golden 1 Center in California!
LiveNation has recently announced that the upcoming “Celebration Tour” has been rescheduled to kick off later in December this year. Before the original tour date last summer, the singer was hospitalized due to a severe bacterial infection, according to her manager.
The 40th-anniversary tour initially planned for July is due to hit the road for a 35-date stint to celebrate Madonna’s extensive musical career. “I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” the Grammy-winning artist shared regarding the upcoming trek in a statement from NME.
Not much has been revealed about the event other than the update that Bob the Drag Queen of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” will be featured as a special guest on all announced dates.
“Just imagine what it may bring,” the New York Times shares adding that if the show's theme is greatest hits, audiences must anticipate hits "Like a Virgin," "Vogue," and "Ray of Light." "But also the schtick…the whole kit and kaboodle of Madonna-isms,” the report continues.
Throughout the years, she holds the outstanding record for the most successful tour by a female solo artist while selling over 300 million albums. The icon is also a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, seven-time Grammy award winner, producer, singer, and songwriter!
